Ph.D. student
Gavin graduated from Purdue University in 2024 with a BS in Biological Engineering with a concentration in Bioenvironmental Engineering and a minor in Natural Resources and Environmental Science. Their undergraduate research focused on bacterial pathogen detection in plumbing and drinking water distribution systems and analyzing chemical contaminant interactions with biofilm. They are excited to bring this background to the Rockey lab with further research focused on bacterial phage-host interactions in drinking water systems.
