Whitney is an undergraduate studying Civil and Environmental Engineering at Duke. She has worked in the University of Maryland Civil and Environmental Engineering Lab, studying the viability of potential construction reuse projects. Whitney also conducted an independent year-long research project exploring the phytoremediation capabilities of Chesapeake Bay Seagrasses when interacting with microplastics in aquatic environments. She is excited to learn more about microbiology by contributing to this project!
